dreamstime_10312218 This course provides pharmaceutical information on individual products for injection therapy. The injectables listed here are for non-intravenous administration. Injectable categories covered in this module include Saline, Sodium Bicarbonate, Sterile Water, Local Anesthetics, and Emergency medications. For each injectable within a category, its clinical pharmacology, indications and clinical applications, cautions and contraindications, dosage and administrations, and how it is supplied are provided.

After completing this course you will be able to properly administer a variety of parenteral nutrients, botanicals, and homeopathics by determining the proper chemical composition for the desired route (IM, SQ, or IV), recommended dosages, and cautions associated with each injectable.
