This module is intended to increase the clinician’s understanding of anatomy and physiology associated with human tissue, puncture wounds and injections, wound healing, and the general effects of an injectable within various types of tissues.
After completing this course you will be able to:

Identify the three layers of the skin and the major accessory organs within them

Describe how connective tissue responds to needle manipulation

Select the best needle material (gold vs. stainless steel) and diameter to manipulate connective tissue

Explain the unique electrical properties of acupoints
